Released to the market in 2004, the PX4 Storm was Beretta’s answer to again become a well-known handgun manufacturer for the law enforcement. Since the popular Beretta 92 model had fallen out of favor in law enforcement (but still remains a standard for the US military), Beretta took all positive features from the Cougar series and the 92 series, and came up with the PX4 Storm series. The Storm is produced from a lightweight polymer with steel reinforced inserts and features an integrated light rail (also called a Picatinny rail). The ergonomic design was a significant change in direction for Beretta as the PX4 also featured a modular trigger group, and changeable backstrap options for the grip.
