The success of the H&K P2000 series of handguns (which is now the standard issue for over 65,000 agents of Homeland Security) led H&K to release a smaller more compact version of that model called the P2000SK. In reducing the size, H&K was able to shave .6 ounces off the weight, .4 inches off the overall length, and .5 inch all the height, while keeping all the popular features of the larger P2000 pistol. Chambered in 9mm and .40 caliber, the smaller SK model will also accept magazines from the larger P2000 pistols.
The SK series has proven to be a very good choice for CCW and self-defense. Holster options for the P2000SK include outside the waistband, inside the waistband, shoulder holster, or even an ankle rig (Don Hume makes a very nice ankle holster for the SK series that is quite popular).
