Comp-Tac Settable Cant Holster
Comp-tac's first belt holster design is the hallmark of versatility!
Whether you prefer the convenience of a paddle, the security of a belt holster
or the option to switch as your needs dictate, you can get it all with the new
Settable Cant rig.
The Settable Cant holster allows you to change between paddle holster and belt
holster and to set the angle of cant from zero degrees to forty degrees in either
a Forward Cant (FBI) or Cross Draw configuration. The holster body comes with
either a paddle appliance or one slotted to accept a belt. Or, you can get the
deluxe package and switch from one to the other as your requirements dictate.
And as an added bonus - the modular design allows Comp-Tac to use their thinnest
kydex material (.090") for the holster body while keeping the rigidity
and and durability of the thicker kydex material (.125") for the paddle
and belt appliances.
Be aware that the Settable Cant holsters do tend to ride a
bit higher than most other outside the waistband designs, particularly when
used with the paddle. This can be helpful when wearing the rig under a short
coat or sportcoat. The belt appliance also has a low mounting position available.
Note, also, the sweat shield. Usually only available on IWB
holsters, the Settable Cant features a sweat shield that offers excellent coverage,
but does not interfere with a full firing grip. The built-in sight rail on the
Settable Cant provides enough room to fit nearly all standard and after market
sights.
The Settable Cant is available in three packages: Belt,
Paddle and Deluxe. With each package, you receive the holster body,
mounting appliance, and all necessary hardware. The Deluxe Package contains
both the belt and paddle appliances.

To change appliances, or cant angle, all you have to do is determine the preferred
position by matching up the pre-drilled holes in the appliance and the holster
body. The fasteners in the above photos screw into a recessed metal backing
plate inside the holster body, anchoring the paddle or belt appliance solidly
in place.
As illustrated in the pictures below, the new Settable Cant
holster is attached to either the belt loop appliance or the paddle via two
screws. By altering the attachment points, the rig can be configured at various
cant angles and the belt appliance gives you the option of positioning the gun
either low or high.
