 Product Description

A great belt concealment holster, the H721-OT is designed for small and large framed automatics. It features offset belt slots in the front and rear, with a body shield to provide comfort between the weapon and the user. Riding high & close to the body, this holster provides excellent concealment and minimal bulk. It is made to fit belts up to 1 3/4 inches.

How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".

Some frequently asked questions about the H721-OT model:

#1 - Is this model made in a version with a thumb break for added retention?

Yes, it is and that model is called the Don Hume H721-TB. It's the exact same holster model with an added thumb break. You can read more about that model by following this link.

#2 - What's a "bodyshield"?

A bodyshield is part of the holster that offers a protective barrier between you and the weapon. They vary holster model to model. If you aren't sure about any other holster related terms used in the description above, consider having a look at our list of commonly used gun holster definitions.

#3 - Can I still get a good grip on the handgun with a bodyshield?

Absolutely. The bodyshield is designed for added comfort and won't interfere with the draw or grip in any way.

#4 - If I was interested, could I also wear this holster as a cross draw holster?

Unfortunately, no as the cant angle is wrong. This holster is designed to be worn on the strongside of the belt. Using clock terminology, this would be the 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, or 4 o'clock positions on the waist.

We try keep most models on hand, but many models tend to sell out quickly. An out of stock holsters ordered from this page may take 4 to 16 weeks from the order date to complete and ship.  Please feel free to email us or call 919.388.1991 to check current stock.

Posted by Douglas Vetter on 4th Feb 2017

I Called Gunners Alley to ask Questions on a Good Leather Holster For My Springfield Emp 1911 in .40s/w. I was so surprised when the owner returned my call & spoke with me for about 45 minutes, teaching me about leather & how to take care of it !! I was so impressed with him & wanted a Don Hume holster he had me sold on the H721OT WS...WS ( "Sweat Shield", Keeps the gun off my body with a higher piece of leather ) !! I just love it & I'm Getting a little Tried of some Kydex Holsters, The beauty of Leather is Awesome !! Don Hume Low Cost For Great Leather Holster !! Gunners Alley will be getting more of my Business!! Thanks Doug !

  2. Typical top-quality Don Hume holster

Purchased another of many Don Hume 721OT holsters and this one is just like all the others - top quality crafted, custom holster. Excellent product.

  3. SP 101

Works great and fits my Ruger SP101 well. I would buy another Don Hume holster. Gunner's Alley was great to deal with.

  4. DON HUME H721OT BELT HOLSTER for 3" J frame S&W

Posted by Frank on 13th Dec 2016

Purchased this holster (H721OT) for a S&W M-60 3" . I like Don Hume holsters and have several. For field & CCW I have same model holster for a K frame 4" and wanted the same carry & draw for this smaller J frame. A well made leather holster with fine brown finish.

This is my first purchase from Gunnersalley.com and I found the website to be easy to use, very detailed, and GA offers an excellent price. Shipping and delivery were VERY quick.

Fully satisfied with product AND service.

  5. Best so far.

Posted by Robert Cramer on 22nd Nov 2016

I did not rate it 5 stars because I have not tried all holsters out there for the Ruger LCRx, however, this is the best so far. I have tried several of the better known brands, (DeSantis, etc.) and all so far fit the gun fine, but tend to flop around while walking at a normal pace. The flopping around is anoying and is a clear indicator that a firearm is on my hip to the casual observer. This holster does very little moving with my light weight revolver. I am a big guy, 5'10" 275 and thus do not get a very firm grip on my waist with a belt. My size is part of the issue, but I still want the firearm to be steady while I move around. This holster does that. The firearm fits perfectly. The leather is stiff and thin, two qualities I like.

  6. Outstanding gun leather

Posted by Stephen Mitchell on 18th Oct 2016

Fantastic holster. I use it for my Kimbet Ultra Carry II.
Excellent fit and all day comfort. This the
    BEST holster I've found for 1911 3"
barrel. Buy it .....you won't be disappointed

  7. Great, inexpensive, OWB leather holster.

Posted by John K on 5th Sep 2016

This holster carries my Glock 36 very snugly, high, and tight against my body at the 4:00 position. It is an excellent concealment holster when wearing a jacket, sweater, or untucked shirt.
It is very easy to draw from after it is properly broke in.
It is smaller and more comfortable than my IWB holster that I still wear with a tucked in shirt.
Great holster at a great price.
    Delivery was two days.

  8. Very nice

Posted by john on 29th Aug 2016

While nicely made, a little stiff for my Colt officer.
Been using it for several weeks now and a little better,
When I tighten my belt, it tightens the pistol in the holster which makes it hard to draw.

  9. Perfect fit and function.

Posted by Unknown on 20th Jul 2016

Both holsters I purchased were a perfect fit for which I bought them. The holsters function exceedingly well on the waist belts I have. Exceptional products at a fair price.

  10. worth it
