    • Walther PK380

    The Walther PK380 was introduced to the market in 2009, and shares characteristics with the Walther P22 and the Walther P99. The PK380 features an external hammer so it can be fired in either double action or single action mode. The PK380 uses 8 round magazines so it features an 8+1 capacity, and features a picatinny rail so a light or laser can be mounted. The pistol uses a paddle style ambi mag release lever located on the trigger guard, and a manual safety.

    The one knock on the PK380 is centered on the design, as the pistol has no slide release lever. Therefore, the slide has to be pulled and released on a loaded magazine to chamber a round. To cycle the slide on an empty magazine, the mag has to be disengaged first.

    Currently the PK380 is being offered in 3 models:

    • PK380 Black
    • PK380 Nickel
    • PK380 with Walther laser

    In December of 2012, Walther announced a recall on certain Walther PK380 that could possibly fire even when the manual safety was engaged. More on that recall can be seen here: http://www.waltherarms.com/pk380-recall-notice/.

    Unfortunately, the dimensions on the PK380 are so unique that we aren’t aware of any other gun models that might work for that.

    Can you recommend some popular holsters for the PK380?
