Glock 43 with Streamlight TLR-6

Since its introduction in 2015, the Glock 43 pistol has quickly become one of Glock’s top-selling handgun models. And, like most all the Glock handguns, the G43 also spawned its own aftermarket industry for parts and accessories.

While aftermarket triggers, sights, and holsters are the most sought-after accessories for the Glock 43, another popular option is a weapon light. While there are several debates about which weapon light model is the “best” for the Glock 43, a top contender in that debate is the Streamlight TLR-6 light or light and laser combination.

And, assuming that you’ve decided to equip your G43 with a TLR-6 light or light/laser, then you’ll also need a specialized holster to fit that particular pistol/light combo. However, before we get deeper into a discussion about a holster for a Glock 43 with TLR-6 light mounted, let’s discuss the actual TLR-6 light itself.

TLR-6 Light or Light & Laser

Since the Glock 43 model is not equipped with a rail, the G43 TLR-6 models are designed to mount to the front of the trigger guard.

When discussing the Streamlight TLR-6 options for the Glock 43 (or the Glock 42 as well), Streamlight offers the following models:

  • Model 69270 – This model is equipped with a white LED light and a red laser.
  • Model 69278 - This model comes in a Flat Dark Earth Brown color and is equipped with a white LED light and a red laser
  • Model 69280 – This model is equipped with a white LED light and does not have a laser option.

FAQS

Here are some of the more commonly asked questions that we see involving holsters for the Glock 43 with TLR6 mounted:

I have a TLR-6 model for the Glock 43 that is the light-only version, and I’m having trouble finding a holster made to accommodate the light-only version of the TLR-6. Do you have anything that will work?

Although we mentioned this above, it’s worth repeating. The light only and light/laser version of the TLR-6 for the Glock 43 are precisely the same size and have the exact dimensions. We’ve confirmed this with Streamlight customer support.

As such, any holster made to fit a G43/TLR6 set-up should fit your light only TLR-6 situation just fine.

Do you carry a Glock 43 tlr 6 pocket holster?

Yes, we carry two pocket holster models that are available in a configuration to fit that specific pistol/light combination:

MTR Custom Front Pocket Holster

MTR custom Back Pocket Holster

I bought a plastic IWB holster that was supposed to fit my Glock 43 and a TLR-6 light, but it activated the light when I holstered it, so the batteries constantly went dead. Do your holsters have the same problem?

That’s not the first time we’ve heard that story, so we completely understand. The holsters that we carry have a slight bit of extra space built in around the light activation button to eliminate that issue.

How secure are the holsters that you make for this light laser combo? I ask because I ordered one that was “suppose” to fit my 43/TLR6, but it was so loose that the pistol kept coming out?

The holsters that we carry are molded specifically to the G43 and TLR-6, so it’s a very tight fit. You’ll have to go through a break-in period to get the holster adjusted to your specific draw retention.

Do your holsters cover and protect the TLR-6, or is it exposed?

The light/laser is completely covered with the holsters that we offer.

I have a 43 with a red dot and a TLR-6 mounted. Do you have a holster for that?

Most any of the holster models listed below can be configured to accommodate a G43 with a red dot and TLR-6. You would need to add the "Add RMR cutaway" option in order to fit the red dot.
