Introduced in 2018, the Beretta APX Combat model is basically a tactical version of the Beretta APX Full Size pistol.
The Combat model has the exact dimensions as the APX Full Size but has two upgraded features:
The Combat version comes with a blank cover for the slide cut. It also includes four (4) different mounting plates that will accommodate the optic footprint of most popular red dot optic brands, including Burris, Trijicon, Leupold, etc. This APX version comes with two (2) 17 round 9mm magazines.
It’s worth noting that the APX Combat model is NOT equipped with the higher suppressor height sights, but suppressor height sites are available from Beretta or via aftermarket sights.
In terms of holsters, the overall size of the APX Combat with the threaded barrel makes it on the large side to carry inside the waistband. Most of the holsters that we sell for this pistol are belt holsters or paddle holsters. We also have a few customers who like a cross draw style of holster for the APX Combat.
Beretta opted to discontinue the APX Combat in 2022 in favor of the Beretta APX A1 Full Size Tactical, which is more ergonomic and offers several enhancements over the Combat model.
Here are some commonly asked questions we see associated with holsters for the Beretta APX Combat pistol:
Any of the gun holsters shown below are available in a version to fit the APX Combat with a red dot mounted (including the Burris FastFire). When ordering, you must select the “Add RMR/Red Dot Cut Out Option” in the options dropdown menu.
It’s a bit of a multi-tiered answer:
If the APX Combat is not equipped with an optic and the holster is open at the bottom to accommodate the threaded barrel, it’s possible that the Combat model could fit into a holster made for the APx Full Size.
However, if the APX Combat model is equipped with a red dot, it most likely won’t fit into a gun holster made for an APX Full Size.
Any of the holster models displayed below are available in a configuration to fit a Beretta APX Combat with the threaded barrel, with or without a red dot mounted.
