Product Description
The Don Hume H710 was designed as a small, light strong side belt holster that works for concealment or general use. The H710 attaches to the belt using two belt slots. One slot is located directly behind the holster and the second slot is a trailing slot that is designed to pull the holster in tight to the body.
This design works very well worn strong side, or just behind the hip. It's one of Hume's most popular models, and has proven to be an excellent concealed carry, off-duty, or undercover rig. It is available in black and saddle brown and fits belts up to 1 3/4.
How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".
Some commonly asked questions about the H710:
#1 - How far will the barrel of my pistol stick out below the holster?
That depends on the gun model you are using and how long the barrel is. As an example, a 3" 1911 would have about an inch sticking out the bottom of the holster, while a full size 5" 1911 would have about 3 inches of barrel sticking out the bottom of the holster.
#2 - How does this holster retain the handgun?
Like many of the Don Hume models that don't use a thumb break, the pistol or revolver is retained in the holster through the use of friction generated from a tight fit.
#3 - Can this holster be used with similarly made guns?
Yes in some cases. For example, the model of this holster made for the Glock 17, will also fit any other Glock 9mm or .40 caliber handgun as they are very similar in frame size. The same can be said with other handguns that are built on a similar frame. However, if the handguns are not from the same family or frame size, then not they won't crossfit. As an example, if you purchased this holster to fit a Beretta 92, it wouldn't also fit the Glock 20 as those two handguns have completely different dimensions.
#4 - I like the belt slide type model, but does Don Hume make any similar models?
Yes, a close relative to the H710 is the Don Hume JIT Slide. It's another very popular belt slide model only it uses a different belt slot configuration compared to the H710. You can see the JIT here. We actually sell far more JIT models over the H710.

Better than the JIT Slide
Like all of my Don Hume holsters, it’s very well made. I bought the H710 for my Springfield XDS. I have the JIT Slide for a Glock 43. I like the H710 a little better, in that having the front belt loop in front of the holster, rather than between the firearm and your pants like the JIT, it holds it closer to the body, making it easier to conceal. If you don’t want to print, try this one instead. For only a couple of bucks more, it’s worth it.

Again Don Hume Holsters are the Best for the Money.
Purchased my holster for a couple 1911's I own - a Kimber Pro and Sig 1911 Nightmare Carry. Excellent quality workmanship and appearance. The Sig fits a little snug (sue to it's beefed up slide) but still a good fit with this holster. The Kimber with a more conventional slide was an excellent fit right out of the package. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent choice for concealed carry!
I am a retired law enforcement officer with nearly 23 years plain-clothes service. As a result, I have a huge bag of holsters from the multiple pistols issued and carried over the years. As a retiree, I get to carry what I want, and my choice is my Detonics Combatmaster. It, and my full size 1911 fit in this holster snugly and the Combatmaster and the First Agent holster make a very concealable combination. This holster, like all Don Hume holsters, is well made, sturdy and inexpensive given the quality of the holster. It's not the first Don Hume I've had, and probably not the last. Gunner's Alley took my order accurately and shipped my holster out promptly.

Best holster for 1911
I've carried my Colt 1911 for seven years in a First Agent holster and wanted to get another for backup if this one ever wears out. Great quality at a great price with excellent service.

Best holster
This is by far the best holster for concealed carry. It rides high and close to the body and is perfect for undercover street work.

Belt Holster
This is my 1st type of "slide" type holster. Like the other half-dozen (or more) holsters I've gotten from Gunner's Alley, this one is excellent in fit, looks, price & construction. Good joh GA!
