Product Description
The Don Hume H710 was designed as a small, light strong side belt holster that works for concealment or general use. The H710 attaches to the belt using two belt slots. One slot is located directly behind the holster and the second slot is a trailing slot that is designed to pull the holster in tight to the body.
This design works very well worn strong side, or just behind the hip. It's one of Hume's most popular models, and has proven to be an excellent concealed carry, off-duty, or undercover rig. It is available in black and saddle brown and fits belts up to 1 3/4.
How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".
Some commonly asked questions about the H710:
#1 - How far will the barrel of my pistol stick out below the holster?
That depends on the gun model you are using and how long the barrel is. As an example, a 3" 1911 would have about an inch sticking out the bottom of the holster, while a full size 5" 1911 would have about 3 inches of barrel sticking out the bottom of the holster.
#2 - How does this holster retain the handgun?
Like many of the Don Hume models that don't use a thumb break, the pistol or revolver is retained in the holster through the use of friction generated from a tight fit.
#3 - Can this holster be used with similarly made guns?
Yes in some cases. For example, the model of this holster made for the Glock 17, will also fit any other Glock 9mm or .40 caliber handgun as they are very similar in frame size. The same can be said with other handguns that are built on a similar frame. However, if the handguns are not from the same family or frame size, then not they won't crossfit. As an example, if you purchased this holster to fit a Beretta 92, it wouldn't also fit the Glock 20 as those two handguns have completely different dimensions.
#4 - I like the belt slide type model, but does Don Hume make any similar models?
Yes, a close relative to the H710 is the Don Hume JIT Slide. It's another very popular belt slide model only it uses a different belt slot configuration compared to the H710. You can see the JIT here. We actually sell far more JIT models over the H710.

Great fit
The H710 fitss my 4" Colt OP perfectly, and on my small body frame, it gives me great positioning for this full-sized revolver. I love this classic gun, and am glad I can carry it so easily.

The First Agent keeps the my old Colt high and close, but allows quick access if I need it. Great fit too.

Holster exceeded my expatation
Haven't owned a revolver For many years when I got a good deal on a Colt .357. I had a difficult time finding one to fit. Gunners Ally came through with flying colors. Thanks all.

Holster surpassed my expectations
I have never been a fan of open top holsters with no retention snap. I figured since the S&W, Bodyguard 380 was so compact that the holster would be okay with an open top. First time with a Don Hume product. The holster is awesome!! It holds the weapon tightly and very close to the body. The fit is excellent and I am surprisingly pleased. I love it and its now my every day carry holster for undercover operations in the field.

Top Quality Leather
I actually swapped this out for a JIT prior to shipping but own two others for 1911's already. Both the JIT and the 710's pull the firearm close to your body, are lightweight, display fine workmanship, and though they don't have a retention device, hold the weapon securely. My satisfaction with the 710 model lead me to purchase the JIT for the S&W 642. If you like discreet OWB carry, Don Hume products are top notch.
