 Product Description

Another variation of the popular H715M W/C IWB, this popular inside the waistband holster is made of lightweight leather and form molded to the individual weapon. The top opening of the holster is reinforced to aid in reholstering the weapon.  Rather than use a "one-size fits all" approach, this holster is sized to fit the specific pistol it was intended to carry. For example, Don Hume produces separate skus of the H715M W/C holster for the Glock 17, Glock 19, and Glock 26 that are specific to the barrel of each pistol.

The H715M-TB is produced in the USA using 6-7 ounce premium leather, the highest quality nylon thread, and a strong metal clip. This model comes in either black or saddle brown leather but the clip only comes in a black oxide finish. The thumb break snap is reinforced as well.

The clip is designed to fit a gun belt up to 1 3/4" wide. The holster features double stitching, and a reinforced mouth for easier reholstering.

Designed for both revolvers and semi-automatics, this design works well strong side or behind the hip.

NOTE - For single action pistols (1911 models), the thumb break is configured to only work with the weapon carried with the hammer cocked, in what's commonly called the cocked and locked (C&L) position. The thumb break won't work for single action pistols if the pistol is carried with the hammer down.

How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".

Some commonly asked questions about the H715M TB model:

#1 - Does this model come in a hammer down variation for 1911 weapons?

Not anymore. Now Don Hume only produces it in a cocked and locked version for any 1911 handgun.

#2 - I'm concerned about keeping my weapon secure. Do I need a thumb break model or can I just use a holster without a thumb break?

That's really a personal preference, but you can read a blog post that we did on that topic here.

#3 - Is this model holster offered without a thumb break?

Yes, it is. That model is called the H715M W/C and it can be seen by following this link.

#4 - Will this holster stay open after I've drawn the pistol?

This holster features a reinforced mouth which means that it has a band of leather around the mouth of the holster which is designed to help it stay open after the handgun is drawn.

A quality product and great value. Very little break in. Fit my DW valkyrie 1911 perfectly. After six months of carrying, I would recommend it.

  2. Favorite Brand Of Holster

Posted by Larry Turner on 15th Nov 2020

I have this model holster for every barrel length I carry, I like the fit ,retention and comfort. I know what I'm getting when I order it the quality is the same every time. The only thing that I can say to improve it would be to have it lined.

  3. My 1911 loves it

Posted by Unknown on 27th Oct 2020

I got a Springfield Range Officers 1911 to use as a carry gun. I had carried a Government Model 1911 in an IWB holster and thought I would use the same holster with the Springfield. The old Brand B No. 3 holster would move the Springfield extended safety as I walked throughout the day. That ended carrying the Springfield until I received this Don Hume holster from Gunners Alley. Now the 1911 is safely back on my hip in a quality holster that Gunner's Alley had in stock at a great price.

I love this holster, while it is designed to be worn IWB, the clip is so secure I wear it in my pocket, exposed open carry.
Very comfortable if you open carry, and secure with the clip and thumb break.
Excellent Holster, and fits my Glock 42 like a glove.
Fast shipping and a great price from Gunners Alley

  5. Great Product

I needed a IWB holster that had a thumb break for more secured retention when I ride my motorcycle. Perfect fit for my KAHR CM9, Gunnersalley was fantastic to buy from, great communication.

  6. Perfect for my Sig P238

Posted by Happy in Florida on 22nd Mar 2019

Kudos to Gunners Alley for being the only holster website that actually told me their thumb break holsters were made for condition one carry. I'm amazed how hard that is to discern from other sites. The holster fit my P238 exactly how I hoped it would and was exactly the great quality I expected from Don Hume. How many times can you say that about an internet purchase? The online purchase went off without a hitch and it arrived quickly. I've bookmarked this site for all my future holster purchases.

  10. perfect... for my application

Posted by thomas k holmes on 6th Aug 2017

i had Hume holster for my PPK (H715)... problem, i'm often in ackwards positions when CC... laying down, climbing, upside down, sqeezing thru small, tight passages... on occasion, my weapon drops of out the holster... first fix was to add a strap & sam brown button to restrain the pistol in place... works great,, & If i feel i might have to pull the gun, i release the strap ahead of time... but. at times, say a surprise event, that strap will slow my draw.... thats bad news..
    * the final fix, get same holster with thumb break (H715M-TB).... now when my hand goes over the grips to pull, my thumb has positioned & already released the strap snap... it works great everytime & its fast & automatic.
gunnersally delivered holster within a week, as it had to come from the Hume warehouse first... price is right & holster is good... ..so much so, also bought another for my PPS..
