Introduced in 2018, the Model 19 Carry Comp is a Performance Center version based on the classic S&W Model 19. This model was designed for concealed carry with some modifications for recoil control. It features a 3" barrel with an integrated PowerPort compensator. The presence of the compensator means that the folks at the Performance Center had to adjust the position of the front sight.
Like the traditional Model 19, the Carry Comp variant is chambered in .357 Magnum and utilizes the conventional 6-round capacity. In addition, this version also features a barrel underlug that runs the full length of the barrel.
The presence of a full underlug combined with the repositioned front sight means this S&W wheelgun may not fit into a gun holster made for a traditional S&W K-frame revolver. However, through MTR Custom, we offer holsters made specifically to fit the Carry Comp.
