    Taurus Spectrum 380 PistolBefore actually discussing the holsters, let's do a brief overview of the Taurus 380 Spectrum:

    Introduced at the 2017 SHOT Show, the Taurus Spectrum was designed and marketed as a micro compact 380 pistol with enhanced performance and ergonomics compared to any previous Taurus 380 handgun.

    Some of the areas that Taurus worked on for improvements include:

    • Recoil management
    • Better ergonomics and grip for shooters with larger hands
    • A take-down process that did not require pulling the trigger

    Taurus opted to quietly phase the Spectrum out of production in early 2021, as it was no longer listed in the 2021 catalog or on the Taurus website.

    Here are some commonly asked questions regarding holsters for the Taurus Spectrum 380:

    Will the Spectrum 380 fit into a holster made for the Taurus TCP? They look similar?

    While the Spectrum and the TCP do look similar, they have very different dimensions. As such, a Spectrum pistol won't fit into a molded holster for the Taurus TCP. By molded, we mean a holster specifically formed to fit a specific pistol.

    Even though the Spectrum is a small gun, I prefer a belt holster with a retention strap for added security. Do you carry a holster that might work?

    If you're interested in a belt holster with a retention strap, consider the MTR Custom Slimline Deluxe Pancake holster and add the optional thumb break (retention strap) for added security. That configuration will definitely meet those needs.
