The success of the Taurus TX22 pistol led Taurus to introduce the TX22 Compact version in January of 2023. The Compact model was designed for those who might want to use the TX22 for concealed carry.
The TX22 Compact offers all the features of the full-size TX22, in a slightly shorter and lower capacity variant. The barrel length on the Compact version is 3.6 inches compared to the 4.10-inch barrel on the full-size model. From a capacity standpoint, the compact version comes with a 13-round magazine, while the full-size version features a 16-round magazine.
The Compact version features identical operation controls and performance features of the original TX22 full-size.
The smaller footprint of the Compact TX22 makes it a better option for concealed carry, so IWB holsters are certainly an option for that pistol.
