Glock 43 Holster

For years, Glock enthusiasts have been pining for a single stack Glock in 9mm. Well, in early 2015, that wish became a reality when Glock released the G43 model, which was Glock's first single stack 9mm model. The success of the G43 led Glock to offer other pistol models based on the G43 frame, including the Glock 43x and Glock 43x MOS handguns.

While the Glock G43 has several very interesting upsides, it also has a few downsides, depending on your personal feelings. Those disadvantages include the following:

  • Non-interchangeable magazines - One of the many big pluses of the Glock line has always been the unique magazine interchangeability, which means a higher capacity magazine of the same caliber from a larger Glock model can be used in a smaller framed model of the same caliber. For example, a magazine from a Glock 19 can be used in a smaller Glock 26. Given that the G43 is the first Glock of its kind with a single stack 9mm, no other Glock mag will fit it, and its mag can't be used in any other Glock weapon.
  • Limited capacity - If you're a Glock fan in a non-restrictive state, then the name Glock usually equates to a high capacity pistol. With its 6+1 capacity, the G43 isn't going to be what most are use to in a Glock as far as capacity goes. However, the G43 is a single stack model built for concealed carry, so one can't expect a 15 round capacity in a small package. And if you do happen to reside in a state with a magazine capacity restriction, the Glock 43 won't be restricted.

The 43 was built for the concealed carry or CCW crowd or use as a back-up weapon. So far, the G43 has shown to be a proven winner for Glock including the reliable performance expected with any Glock handgun. The 43 has been selling on a torrid pace since it was released. The G43 may go down in history as the most popular pistol Glock has ever produced, eventually surpassing the venerable Glock 19 and ever-popular Glock 26 models. As with most Glock models, the Glock 43's have had few complaints or issues so far.

Here are some of the more commonly asked questions regarding Glock 43 holsters:

What's the best G43 holster you carry?

Well "best" is a relative term based on opinion as opposed to fact, and it's completely subjective. As this question to ten (10) Glock 43 owners, and you'll most likely get ten (10) completely different answers as to the "best" holster. We always suggest giving some serious though to how you want to carry the G43 and then go from there.

For example, are you trying to concealed carry? If so, then your best holster styles to look into are:

  • IWB
  • Pocket carry
  • OWB
  • Appendix Carry
  • Ankle

Do a bit of research on each of those styles, and then you can rule some out right off the bat. For example, if you like in a warmer climate and typically wear shorts, then the ankle style holster isn't really an option. Going through that process and actually trying out a few different styles will help you find the best G43 holster for you and your needs.
